'Take steps for safe migration of women job seekers abroad'

An inter-ministerial meeting yesterday stressed the need for taking necessary measures to ensure safe migration of women while going abroad for jobs. Women and Children Affairs Minister Khurshid Jahan Huq, chaired the meeting of Coordination Committee on Women and Child Repression Prevention. It recommended for taking integrated steps to ensure the shifting of imprisoned women and children to safe custody centre, introduced by Women Affairs and Social Welfare Ministries. Several recommendations on prevention of women repression were adopted in the meeting. Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mujahid, secretaries of Expatriate Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Ministries, representatives from Home, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Civil Aviation and Tourism, Foreign and LGRD ministries were present.
