Four DIGs lose job

Four deputy inspectors general (DIGs) of police were forced into retirement and a dozen additional DIGs were promoted to DIG yesterday. Those who lost their job are -- Mozammel Huq, Anwar Hossain, Enyetullah Dewan and Mahmud Sahjahan.The promoted officers are MA Aziz Sarkar, Khulna division, Ruhul Amin, Dhaka division railway, Mustafizur Rahman, KMP, ABM Bazlur Rahman, police headquarters, Sabbir Ahmed, CMP, Farrukh Ahmed Chowdhury, CID Dhaka, Lutfar Rahman, police headquarters, Chowdhury Kamrul Islam, RMP, Khuda Box Chowdhury, police headquarters, SM Mizanur Rahman, police headquarters, Shamsul Alam, Special Branch, and Atiar Rahman, Rajshahi rangeThree DIGs and eight superintendents of police were transferred yesterday, official sources said.
