The Deputy Commissioner, the Police Superintendent and the Moulvibazar Pourasava chairman visited the spot yesterday morning and told members of the Hindu community that the culprits would be brought to book and adequate steps taken to ensure security during the Durga Puja.

Promoth Rabnjan Baul, president of the district Puja Committee, said some vested quarters were behind the incident to create unrest in the district town, known for communa harmony.
