Commerce Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury is expected to inaugurate the exposition.

Companies and organisations from ten countries -- Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, the UK, Sri Lanka and Japan -- will participate in the extravaganza, first of its kind in Bangladesh.

The participants -- hospitals, diagnosis centres, medical equipment manufacturers and suppliers, pharmaceutical companies, medical software companies, insurance and finance companies, air express and service providers -- will display their products at the medical fair.

Three seminars on various health issues will also be held on three days of the exhibition.

The exposition will remain open to general public from noon to 8:00pm while doctors and medical professionals will be able to visit the fair from 10:00am to noon every day.
