Man killed for protesting vulgar movie screening


A young man was bludgeoned to death following an altercation over screening of a vulgar film at a cinema hall in Godagari upazilla Tuesday.

A gang beat Meshbaul Haque, son of Enamul Haque of Baroipara village, with hammer and lethal weapons as he protested showing of the movie at Ratna Cinema Hall, witnesses said.

He died at Godagari Health Complex at midnight.

The victim's uncle Abdur Razzak filed a case accusing six including Ripon, Montu and Shahjada of Sreemantapur village.
