Schoolboy hurt in road mishap

A schoolboy was injured seriously when a Gabtoli-bound bus hit him in front of the Dhanmondi police station in the city yesterday.Towkir Ahmed, 13, son of Abul Kalam, was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious head injures. Police seized the bus from the spot but the driver managed to flee away. Witnesses said the bus hit Towkir while he was crossing the Katabon road near the Nilkhet High School. Towkir resides at 54/1 Nilkhet Residential Area of Dhaka University.
