Cultural invasion!

Satellite channels, especially the Hindi channels, have enormous influence on our social life. Even children can understand and speak Hindi as if it is their second language. The style, fashion, attitude everything is influenced by the programmes seen in those channels. As well, Hindi songs, Hindi dance, fashion shows, are all easily creeping into the cultural programmes of our own schools and colleges. And it seems that without these events, the programmes fail to attract anyone. The new generation demands changes, but that does not mean our children should remain stranger to their own culture and heritage.
