On forgery at BUET

A letter by Mr. Salim Al-Haq publsihed on 27 September 2003 with reference to another by Mr. Khalid Hasan (DS 21 September 2003) has drawn my attention for obvious reasons. The information in Mr. Salim Al-Haq's letter is fabricated, devoid of facts and motivated to harm the good name of my department and the BUET.Contrary to Mr. Al-Haq's claim, the teacher of my department who has been "convicted of immoral acts" by the Syndicate recently has no capacity to "implicate" two other teachers of my department. Rather another teacher in his official authority as Dean reported irregularities against the two teachers of the department. I would request Mr. Al-Haq to please rely on facts if he wants to protect the interest of the BUET, which according to him has "some public credibility". It would serve the cause well of the Department of Architecture and of the BUET if one cares not to judge the standard and quality of either the department or the university on the basis of misdeeds committed by a teacher.
