BCB's new chief executive arrives

Macky Dudhia, the newly appointed chief executive of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), arrived in the capital yesterday to assume his role.

The former Zimbabwean cricket official signed a three-year contract with the BCB on August 18 after being interviewed along with Australian candidate Mathew Drain.

Dudhia is expected to receive an annual salary of 80,000 dollars.

Meanwhile, Justin Crody, an Australian physio-cum-trainer, also flew into the city to take up his responsibilities with the under-19 team which will take part in next year's World Youth Cup.

The team is training at the BKSP under Australian coach Richard McInnes.

The team will go to Lahore later this month to take part in a quadrangular one-day tournament also involving India, Sri Lanka and hosts Pakistan.
