15 hurt as BNP groups clash in Magura


At least 15 people were injured, six of them seriously, in a clash between two factions of BNP at Kukila village in Magura Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

Police and witnesses said, the rival factions led by Union Parishad member Abdul Khalek Sarder and district BNP office secretary Rezaul Kabir Chunnu clashed over establishing supremacy in the area.

On information, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Seriously injured Khalil, 35, Abdus Sattar Mandal, 42, Daliluddin, 60, Moazzem Hossain, 20, M Alauddin, 25 and Mosharrof, 30, were admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital.

No case was lodged till filing of this report at about 5:30 on Tuesday.
