The mobile courts to be led by magistrates will work from 10:00am to 4:00pm and also act against adulterated food sellers. The checkpoints will work from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Teams of police, BDR and ansars will assist the courts. They will also crack down on wrongly parked cars and illegal roadside establishments besides searching through vehicles. The meeting also decided not to go for fresh road digging or repair during the month. The meeting decided to control prices of essentials during Ramadan and prosecute hoarders. Plainclothes policemen will be deployed at shopping centres, railway stations and bus and launch terminals. Measures will also be taken to check ticket price during the month. The ministry identified 40 city points as high traffic jam areas to deploy additional forces.
