$5.75 million Canadian aid for ICDDR,B

Canada will provide $5.75 million to International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease and Research, Bangladesh (ICDDRB) for health and population research, says a press release. An agreement to this effect was signed by Canadian High Commissioner Gerry Campbell and ICDDRB Director David Sack in Dhaka yesterday. The Canadian government made the contribution to an institution which has earned international recognition for its work, said the high commissioner at the signing ceremony. The money will be disbursed over a period of five years, says a press release.
