Two boys killed in road mishaps

Two young boys were killed in separate road accidents in Gulshan and Motijheel in a span of eight hours ending at 6:30am yesterday.Robin, 10, was standing beside the road at Shahajadpur when a Dhaka-bound bus from Gaibandha hit him at around 6:30am. He died on the spot. Police seized the bus abandoned by its driver from the spot. Faridul Islam Ripon, Robin's father, filed a case with Gulshan Police Station. In the other incident, Moham-mad Yusuf, 12, and his cousin Masum Mollah, 14, suffered serious injuries when they were hit by broken parts of a truck, which rammed into a median, in front of Khilgaon Government High School at about 9:30pm Tuesday. Locals rushed Yusuf, a cooked food supplier, to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died at around 10:30pm. Masum is undergoing treatment at a local clinic. Police seized the truck but could not arrest its driver.
