Of Sylvester & Prince Harry!
Rabeed Imam from Chittagong
Believe it or not, Syl-vester, Pink Panther and Bugs Bunny are in Chittagong wat-ching and cheering the England cricketers! If that is blowing your mind away, just wait till you hear the next news -- 'Prince Harry' is here too! The three cartoon icons are a part of Barmy Army tradition and travel everywhere with the English team. They were not visible in Dhaka during the first Test but in Chittagong, they really made their presence felt by encouraging their countrymen throughout the day from the special enclosure reserved for the Barmy Army. "There are three very devoted Barmy members who wear the suits of those cartoon characters and cheer England all around the globe," informed another fiercely proud 'Army' fan who introduced himself as 'Prince Harry'. So why Sylvester, Pink Panther and Bugs Bunny? "Well I guess that's because they are popular world over," said Prince Harry who himself is quite a character and is a prime example of a die-hard fan. " I now live in Brisbane, Australia but is always there when England calls," said the middle-aged man who is a staunch supporter of Everton in the English Premiership. Apart from having fun, the Barmy Army also keenly observes cricket and are not shy of expressing their opinion. " Bangladesh have surprised us. We never expected them to be this good. In another two year's time, they'll be up there," predicted Prince Harry.
