BRCT to provide training to health workers

The Bangladesh Rehabilitation Centre for Trauma Victims (BRCT) will provide training to health workers across the country on treatment of mental patients.This was disclosed at a workshop on 'Community mental health care and the consultation process' organised by BRCT in Dhaka yesterday. BRCT General Secretary Akram Hossain Chowdhury said they are eager to provide support for the treatment of mental patients and victims of torture. Dr Yuon Nuhstrop, a psychiatrist of international repute, gave a power point presentation explaining how a mental patient should be treated. His presentation was based on his experience from his treatment of mental patients in Denmark. Prof. Najibudowlla Chowdhury presided over the workshop.
