Champs League final revisited

Leaders AC Milan host Juventus in a repeat of last season's Champions League final at the San Siro on Saturday as the top two teams in Italy clash in domestic league action.

Milan lead the table from Juventus on goal difference after seven matches but the Old Lady of Turin captain Alessandro Del Piero said he was confident they could regain top spot.

Del Piero, who is likely to be sidelined through injury, said: "Im confident we can get the three points. It will be a very open game where both sides will look to implement their very own brand of football.

"History tells us that Juventus and Milan will look for the win. They are two great clubs in every single department."

Del Piero, who signed a four-year contract extension earlier this month, suffered a calf injury in Juventus' 2-2 draw at home to Roma in September.

"Im recovering well," the 28-year-old said. "I think I will be back in action for my birthday on November 9 against Udinese."

Over the last year, the two teams have clashed many times but the games have usually been finely-balanced and only a keen student of Italian football would dare predict the outcome.

Juves normally steady rearguard has been letting in goals however, having kept just two clean sheets in all competitions this season, and would do well not to underestimate Milan's probable strike duo of Filippo Inzaghi and Italy's top scorer Andriy Shevchenko.

Shevchenko has often scored against Juventus and one season even scored the goal of the season against Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon.
