The arrested was identified as Farooq, son of Hafezullah of Omarpur village. He was wanted in 17 cases, including five murder cases.

Meanwhile, Shahajahan Saju, known as 'captain-2' of the Hazari group, was released on bail Thursday. He was arrested on March 28.
