Six sub-inspectors (SIs), three Assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) and 41 constables reported to the officer-in-charge (OC) till 7:30 last night.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday transferred all 77 staff except for the newly appointed OC of the police station following allegations of criminal activities.

Khilgaon police came under fire after the death of Shakil Ahmed Chowdhury Suman of Meradia in police custody. Allegations of snatching Tk 2 lakh from two businessmen by four policemen were also raised.

The DMP withdrew OC Entezar Rahman on October 27 and Suman's mother Nurjahan Begum filed a murder case against him and second officer Mahbubur Rahman on October 28.

Locals Friday caught SI Shamsul Haq, constables Azhar Hossain, Helal Uddin and Ansar Azad Hossain after the snatching and recovered Tk 1.46 lakh. The court sent them to jail. SI Shajahan Sabuj, constables Habib and police informant Delwar Hossain are still absconding.
