Under-20 team move forward

Bangladesh Under-20 football team celebrated their inclusion in the Tibet 19th Federation Cup football tournament qualifiers with a 2-0 win over Mahakhali Ekadash at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.The win ensured them a place in the next round of the competition. Forward Jahed Parvez put the youth team ahead in the 12th minute while Akbar sealed the fate of the Mahakhali boys with the second goal in the 25th minute. The winners will now face Sheikh Russell KC in the next match of the knockout round at the same venue on November 5. In the other match of the day, Sadharan Bima beat Bangladesh Navy in tiebreaker (5-3) after the regulation 90 minutes was locked 1-1 at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur. Bima will face either Sheikh Russell or Under-20 team in their next match at Kamalapur on November 7.
