Amitabh Bachchan gets Satyajit Ray lifetime achievement award

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was on Saturday night honoured with the prestigious Satyajit Ray lifetime achievement award by the Bengal Film Journalists' Association."I am honoured that my name has been associated with Satyajit Ray," Bachchan said accepting the award at the 66th BFJA ceremony in Kolkata. Bachchan said, "Of all the places in the world, the greatest pleasure for me to get an award is in Kolkata. This city has always given me the most pleasant of experiences." As the night sky lit with spectacular fireworks, the "star of the millennium" disclosed that his fans would soon see him in a Hindi-Bengali bi-lingual film Ora Kara. Bachchan, dressed in a suit, was accompanied by his son Abhishek and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
