Youth Council executives
Md Zakir Hossain and Maksud Ahmed Chowdhury have been elected president and secretary general of the National Youth Council of Bangladesh for 2003-2005, says a press release.The election was held at the biennial general meeting of the Youth Council in the city recently, with Advocate Golam Mostafa in the chair. Other office-bearers are Md Rezaul Karim Babu, Habibullah Chanchal, and Gabriel Tripura -- vice-presidents; AKM Neyamatullah Babu and Md Riazur Rahman -- joint secretaries general; and Rasheda Aktar Shelly -- treasurer. Invited guests from India and Nepal observed the elections and took part in the discussion.
