BNP MP wants transfer of 'corrupt' Rupsha UNO


City BNP President and ruling BNP MP M Nurul Islam Dadu has demanded immediate transfer of Rupsha UNO Kazi Faizur Rahman, bringing charges of corruption and irregularities against him.

Dadu has written an official latter in this regard to the Joint Secretary to the ministry of establishment.

The ministry has directed the Divisional commissioner, Khulna to initiate inquiry into the allegations against the UNO.

Additional Deputy Com-missioner (Rev) Kamal Krishna Bhattachajee submitted the inquiry report to the Divisional Com-missioner on Sunday.

The ruling party MP in his letter to the establishment ministry alleged that UNO Faizur Rahman was creating obstacle in development works in Rupsha upazila with an ulterior motive.

"He is involved in corruption through tender manipulation in favour of contractors who offer him illegal gratification", the lawmaker alleged.

The UNO is also directly involved in political activities and is hardly found at his office during office hours.

He often goes to fish farms for bribe in cash and kind, the MP alleged in his letter.

It was learnt that the charges against the UNO have been proved during investigation by the ADC (Rev).
