Police recovered the mutilated body of a former Jubo Dal leader from a wetland in Fatikchhari on Sunday. The victim was identified as Nesar Ahmed, 32, son of Ahmad Sobhan of South Rangamatia village. Nesar had returned home recently from Dubai. Family sources alleged that hired goons of Islami Chhatra Shibir killed Nesar. Nesar's wife Khorsheda Begum lodged a case accusing eight people including Shibir activist Nasiruddin alias Leda Nasir. Sources said Nesar gave Tk 5,000 to one Ezahar Meah, son of Fayez Ahmed. Ezahar allegedly hired Shibir activist Leda Nasir to kill Nesar as he had been pressing for the money for the last few days, the sources claimed. They said Leda Nasir called Nesar to his Sairapara village home in Dhurong union Saturday afternoon. He was missing since then. Police recovered the body next day from a wetland near Dhurong.
