CID to undertake further probe

CID police will undertake further investigation into the sensational murder of Advocate Kalidas Boral, an Awami League leader.Officials said the Police Headquarters directed the Bagherhat Police Super for shifting the case to CID for further investigation. The court on July 26 postponed trial of the case following a petition of the public prosecutor and ordered for further investigation. Advocate Boral was shot dead by unknown assailants in the town on August 20, 2000. Police submitted a charge sheet against 22 people on October 31 in 2000. Most of the accused persons were set free on bail.
