Daylong hartal called on December 13

The 11 left-leaning parties yesterday called a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal on December 13 to protest the governance failure of the ruling coalition.

The steering committee of the parties at a meeting decided to enforce the hartal to protest the price spiral of essentials and the government's failure in tackling monga situation in northern districts.

Chaired by Gono Forum General Secretary Saifuddin Manik, the meeting also demanded removal of anti-liberation figures from the cabinet.
