Fish export bags Tk 1,941cr in FY03

Bangladesh earned over Tk 1,941 crore in fiscal 2002-03 by exporting fishes to different countries, parliament was informed yesterday.Replying to MAH Selim of BNP, State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Ukil Abdus Sattar said the country's exports were mostly frozen fishes to USA, European Union, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Malaysia, China, Middle-Eastern countries and India.
