Investigation by Kalaroa thana OC Golam Kibria revealed that SI Mujibar Rahman, in-charge of Sarashkati police camp, had entered the house of one Ibrahin Dafader at Bamankdali village on the night of November 13 and attempted to rape his wife. Ibrahim works in Malaysia.

The probe was ordered by Satkhira Police Superintendent Rafiqul Islam following a complaint by the housewife.

Sources said the OC has submitted his probe report. The SP has ordered that the SI be 'closed' to police lines and departmental action be taken against him.
