Special train service for Eid passengers


The Bangladesh Railway has arranged special train service from November 21 to December 4 to facilitate the journey of home-bound passengers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

A pair of special trains will run between Dhaka and Noakhali from November 23 till the day before the Eid. The special trains will leave Dhaka at 9.00am and reach Noakhali at 4.20 pm daily, said a press release.

Another pair of trains will ply Dhaka-Dewanganj Bazar route from November 23 till the day before the Eid and from November 28 to 30.

Two pairs of trains will run between Chittagong and Chandpur. The first special train will leave Chittagong at 1.30 pm every day from November 21 till two days before the Eid.

The train will leave Chittagong at 9.30am the day before the Eid and at 1.30pm from November 29 to December 4.

The second special train will leave Chittagong at 4.00pm from November 21 till two days before the Eid-ul-Fitr and from November 29 to December 4. The train will also leave Chittagong the day before the Eid at 11.30am.

No inter-city train will ply on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr and some mail and local trains will not run on the day. Also, some inter-city trains will not ply the day after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
