Khaleda meets Bangladeshi expatriates in S Arabia


Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, now in Saudi Arabia to perform holy Umrah, spent her time offering prayers and meeting with Bangladeshi expatriates on Sunday and Monday.

She met BNP representatives in Madina, Riyadh and Jeddah and exchanged views on various matters, says a message received in Dhaka yesterday.

The PM also exchanged pleasantries with the Bangladeshi teachers working for King Abdul Aziz University of Jeddah on Sunday.

Khaleda offered her Asr, Magrib, Esha and Tarabi prayers at Masjid-e-Nababi in jamaat during the two days and took iftar with lakhs of pilgrims at the mosque.

She also prayed for the welfare and progress of the nation and for the world peace.
