Dr. B speaks out

Recently, former president Dr. Badruddoza Choudhury spoke on the political situation in the country and he is likely to say something more on the issue in the Iftar party scheduled for November 22. I hope political analysts will let us know about Dr. B's real intention. Does he want to serve the nation or his intention is to regain the power that he lost? Although, he offered a prescription for a surgery on our constitution, he was rather silent on the fundamental state policies. What about basic human rights, what about our Liberation War and what about the Father of the Nation? Our nation will never progress unless there is a broad consensus on the fundamental issues. One day BNP will go and its rivals will come to power, but so what? Poor citizens of the country will ever remain poor. God bless Bangladesh and save us from the hands of another 'power monger'.
