Of them, six were killed in Madaripur, four in Feni and the rest in Habiganj.

In Madaripur, a Dhaka bound passenger bus from Barisal collided with a microbus coming from opposite direction on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway at Gangabadi under Razoir Upazila in the morning, killing six passengers of the microbus on the spot and injuring four others, according to BSS.

Five of the dead were identified as Razia, 65, Mouri,12, Deepta,10, Nasir,40, and driver of the microbus, Prince,24.

The injured, identified as Shafiqul,35, his wife Neepa,25, Sheuli ,28, and her husband Nural Islam,34, were admitted to a local hospital.

In Feni, a road mishap at Temohani on the Feni-Maijdee Highway left four people killed and eight others injured.

The accident occurred in the evening when a passenger bus collided with a tempo.

Tempo passenger Nur Ahmed, 56, died on the spot, while three other passengers of the vehicle succumbed to their injures at Feni Sadar Hospital. Their identity could not be known.The injured were also admitted to the hospital.

In Habiganj, three people were killed when a Sylhet- bound passenger bus collided with a private car on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Amtali under Bahubal Upazila.

Two of them died on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries at Habiganj Sadar Hospital.

All of the victims were passengers of the private car. Police seized the bus, but its driver managed to escape.

A case was lodged with Bahubal Police Station.
