Mobile courts realise Tk 30,500 from dishonest traders


An amount of Tk 30,500 was realised by mobile courts from dishonest businessmen for cheating people with faulty scale and for selling adulterated food on Monday.

The mobile courts led by metropolitan magistrates Rashid Ahmed and Md Shafuqur Rahman along with BSTI officials and adequate police forces conducted raids at GEC intersection, Sholoshahar and the port colony Bazar area.

Eleven cases were filed against the shop owners on charge of cheating people with faulty scales and selling food items without approval of BSTI and other lapses.
