Shamim Osman's residence raided

Police yesterday raided the Jamtala residence of ex-Awami League MP Shamim Osman, who has gone into hiding since the change of power over two years ago. Local people said a police squad led by a magistrate first went to his residence at 11:00am. They returned failing to find any key. The caretaker however gave the keys when the team again went to the house at 2:30pm. "They could not find any thing after conducting a thorough search," said a police source. Shamim Osman is now reportedly staying in Canada. None but the caretaker resides in the residence now.
