Shah Rukh, Bollywood's reigning star for a decade, says: "It's always encouraging to have success, but when you start shooting for a film you don't think of box-office returns immediately. I'd be lying if I said hits don't matter. But I'm not so keen on scoring points right now."

His nagging back notwithstanding he's at his energetic best. "My back has been bothering not just me but also my producers who've had to adjust schedules. I can't afford to let them down," he smiles.
