EBL declares cash, stock dividends
Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) has declared cash dividend of Tk 20 per share and a 15 per cent stock dividend (bonus share) for the shareholders for the year 2002.The dividends were announced at the 11th annual general meeting of the bank held in Dhaka on Monday, says a press release. In 2002, EBL earned operating profit of Tk 73 crore. The profit after tax grew by 15 per cent in the year 2002, compared to the previous year.
