Train knocks boy to death

A shuttle train knocked a schoolboy to death and injured two others near Sholoshahar railway station in the port city yesterday.A Chittagong University-bound shuttle train smashed a rickshaw at around 9:45am at gate No 2 of the rail station, injuring Azadur Rahman Azad, 11, a schoolboy, Ali Akbar, 40, the rickshawpuller, and an unidentified person, witnesses said. Locals admitted them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where doctors declared Azad dead, railway police sources said. The injured were being treated at the CMCH, sources added.
