Fair trial of Saddam Hossain

Your news items on "Bush for Saddam's public trial" and "Question over Saddam's status" published in front page on December 16, 2003 drew my attention.

Saddam has been arrested by coalition forces, who waged war against Iraq on the pretext of WMD possession under the regime of President Saddam Hussain, with the hidden agenda to grab the oil-wealth of Iraq.

President Bush attacked Iraq in the name of changing Iraqi administration. Saddam is still the president of Iraq . He went into hiding to continue the fight for his people as the president of Iraq, as he has claimed in his interview with coalition forces/representatives.

The US President supported Saddam's public trial and indicated that "the development of a system would be determined in consultations" at a very high level" with US coalition partners after legal analysis of the situation." The next day President Bush clearly said that he preferred the ultimate penalty for Saddam.

Here again the war against Iraq by the US and its partners has been waged against the voices of the people of the world. As such, it was a war against humanity. US Senator Edward Kennedy rightly said the war will divide humanity into Muslims and Christians. That has really been true.

But days are not far away when President Bush will be brought to justice for committing crimes against humanity. Yes, US coalition forces have acted more as police then as the world leaders.
