Narinda Pragoti Boys Club made a good start in the Cute Metropolis Premier Division Handball League beating Victoria SC by 25-15 in the opener at the Outer Stadium handball ground yesterday.

Narinda Pragoti dominated the first half by 11-7. Akram scored 8 and Reefat 6 for the winners while Sagar made 5 and Milan 4 for the losers.

In the day's other match, Bangladesh Rifles beat Dhanmondi Club 37-21 after leading the first half by 20-7 at the same venue.

Saiduzzaman contributed 9 and Khairuzzaman 8 goals for the winners while Ripon scored 6, Faruque 5 and Tanveer 4 for the losers.

State Minister for Youth and Sports M Fazlur Rahman inaugurated the eight-team meet.
