British troupe to present dance show tomorrow

Akram Khan, a Bangladeshi-born British dancer and choreographer, will present a dance show in the city on January 1 and 2.His six-member team will present the show titled 'Kaash' at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium at 7.30pm. The British Council and the Lever Brothers Bangladesh Ltd. have sponsored the programme. The 'Kaash' is a fusion of contemporary dance and Kathak, a South Asian classical dance form. Addressing a press conference yesterday, Akram Khan said he also conducted a workshop for the local students at the British Council yesterday. Another workshop will be held today.
