JCD men beat journalists

Activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of the ruling BNP, have manhandled the correspondents of two national dailies at the Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University (SBAU) in the city.A press release of SBAU Journalist Association yesterday said some JCD workers beat the Jugantor's correspondent Abdul Momin at about 11:30pm on Wednesday night when he was playing carom in the hall room. They also gave him death threat if he returns to the hall. The JCD workers also abused the Inqilab correspondent and forced him out of the hall room. The association demanded immediate action against the JCD activists and threatened for tougher programmes if their demands are not met.
