Madhobi is a classical play. It is the translated version of the Hindi play Madhovi by Bhisha Sahni who has adapted it from the mythological epic Mahabharata. In the play the dramatist has pointed out the common question, what is the identity of a woman in the society? Is she only someone's wife or daughter? Through the legendary character of Madhobi, the playwright presents us with this eternal problem of the society.

Ramendu Majumdar directors the play. Mostafa Monwar is in set designing while Nasirul Haque is in light designing.
