Two AL leaders killed in N'gang, Bagerhat

A local Awami League (AL) leader was killed and three others were injured in a bomb attack in Bagerhat and another AL leader shot dead in Narayanganj on Tuesday.A gang hurled three bombs at Fakirhat bus stand at about 10:00pm, killing AL leader Ruhul Amin Khan instantly and injuring Mannan, 28, Sujon, 26, and Arif, 22, police and witnesses said. Firing gunshots and blasting more bombs, the gang fled the area on motorbikes. AL leaders blamed the attack on local BNP activists in an allegation local BNP denied. In another incident at Fatullah in Narayanganj, a gang shot dead Nizamuddin, an AL leader, Tuesday night. A 12-member gang with Ibu, Nayan and Mokhter allegedly involved, sprayed bullets on the leader when he was watching television at his Shehrarchar home at around 9:30pm, police said.
