Some policemen posted nearby said four other youths waiting in a yellow cab (Dhaka Metro-Pa 11-4783) parked near the counter also fled suspiciously after the gunshot. Hearing the news, Saidur's brother Mosharraf Hossain rushed from Brahmanbaria to the DMCH. Mosharraf said Saidur used to supply rice to 44 shops at Mohammadpur Krishi Market and collect money twice a week. "He was returning home with over Tk 2 lakh that he collected from his clients," Mosharraf said, adding the attackers might have been muggers. Saidur had a piece of paper in his pocket that read gave his home address as 'Saidur Rahman, son of Suruj Miah, Jatrapur, Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria' and also his present address as 617 Gulistan, Puratan Bazar, sources said. Earlier at around 2:30pm yesterday, Mirpur police recovered the decomposed body of Motahar Hossain from a padlocked room of Salauddin's Mess at Baghbari in Gabtoli, sources said. Mirpur police found Jamal wounded at around 10:30pm and sent him to the DMCH, where he died at 3:30am yesterday.
