Newcastle will play Real Mallorca and must travel to Spain for the second leg.

If Liverpool progress to the quarterfinals, they will face a tie against Inter Milan or Benfica.

Celtic play Villarreal or Roma if they beat Barcelona while Newcastle would come up against Auxerre or PSV Eindhoven.

If Liverpool and Newcastle both make the semifinals they would face each other in a last-four showdown.

The final will be played in Gothenburg, Sweden, on May 19.
