Two persons were killed in separate accidents in Gulistan and Mohammadpur in the city yesterday.

Sujan, 28, transport helper of a Mothertek-bound Navana human hauler, was hit in the head against a speeding double-decker at Gulistan crossing at around 2:00pm.

A passenger rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at 2:30pm where he died at 5:00pm.

In Mohammadpur, a construction worker died from falling from an under-construction building.

Mohammad Delwar, 25, was working on a bamboo-stage leaning to the four-storey building at Shahjahan Road at 11:30am when he slipped from the stage and fell on the ground.

He was rushed to National Institute of Traumology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) where the doctors declared him dead.

Delwar was working in the building for the last 10 days for Rupayan Company, said Hashem, a mason.

Police sent the body to DMCH for autopsy.
