The businessmen in five complaints lodged with Motijheel Police Station alleged that Tofael Ahmed, owner of Venus Garments of Malibagh Chowdhury Para, took the money from them over the last one year for supplying mobile phone prepaid cards. But he did not supply those.

Tofael was on the run since the deceived businessmen through newspaper ads announced an award of Tk 2 lakh for catching him.

Airport police arrested him on his arrival at the ZIA from Chittagong and handed him over to Motijheel police last night.
