DU BCL leader shot, stabbed

Unknown assailants shot and stabbed a Dhaka University hall unit leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) near the Teacher Student Centre (TSC) yesterday.Abdul Hadi, organising secretary of Salimullah Hall unit of the BCL, student wing of the Awami League, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with bullet and stab wounds in the head, throat, chest and abdomen. Witnesses said a gang of about seven youths carried out the attack at about 7:00pm. The motive for the attack could not be known immediately.
