Branding the present government as despotic, the leaders of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) said the alliance government must step down accepting the liabilities for widespread terrorism, rampant corruption, fostering communal elements, and creating anarchy in the country. While speaking at the rally organised as part of the party's countrywide demonstration for national government at Muktangan in the city yesterday, the leaders also called for a national government based on an all party-consensus to bring forth the long-cherish socio-economic stability of the country. Hasanul Huq Inu, president of JSD, said a national, united government is the best possible solution to end the on-going political crisis and to get rid of the anarchy inflicted by the BNP-Jamaat rule. Referring to the initiatives taken by Dr Kamal Hossain and Badruddoza Chowdhury to forge unity for an alternative political platform, Executive President of JSD central committee Moinuddin Khan Badal said, "In the wake of prevailing political situation in the country, it's been evident that no single front can rule the country unilaterally."
