The SoEs are Kaliachapra Sugar Mills in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh Oil Mills and Fish Export in Khulna, Lira Industrial Enterprise at Tongi and Bangladesh Monopool Paper Manufacturing Company at Demra.

Industries Minister Matiur Rahman Nizami and Deputy Minister Abdus Salam Pintu will attend the handing over ceremony.

The five SoEs are among the 11 enterprises the privatization process of which has been finalized since the present government took over. Six industries had earlier been handed over to private sector.
