Youth shot and mugged at Paltan

Muggers yesterday shot a youth and snatched Tk 10,000 after dragging him down from a passenger bus at Paltan in the city.Three criminals dragged Ismail Hossain, 20, down from the bus at Paltan crossing and shot him point blank, taking him to a secluded place at about 6:30pm, said the victim's brother Bahadur. His brother was taking the money to their village home in Comilla, he added. Ismail is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College hospital with a bullet wound in his left leg.
